Summer Holiday...Istra, Croatia

This year, I was at sea, after many years (this is because I dont like summer, heat, sea, beaches...).
This was my first time in Croatia. I was there with my hubby, sister in law, and their sister from USA. We had a great time even I didnt like beaches there at all... I used to go in Greece every year, so I imagined nice sand beaches, without rocks and stones to break legs on them...but Istra have very rich history and lots of old, small villages which I enjoyed... So...
 Enjoy :D

MEDULIN
That's where our apartment was... Not much to see...

APARTMENT
It was very cheap, and we really liked it, except NO wifi, NO tv, NO air condition, and no beach near...

PULA
Its a large old city...we were there just to walk in the evening...

PREMANTURA
This is some kind of...resort? So you have to pay to get there, and there is all natural, so there is no concrete AT ALL... we though our car was going to disintegrate... You can choose where do you wanna go...there are many beaches in there. So we visited 2 most popular- 1st one is the nicest there, and 2nd one is the most interesting.

 1st

2nd

ROVINJ
This is the one of the nicest cities Ive ever seen...

BANJOLI
Its a very small beach, and I think its not natural...its human-made...

FAZANA
My sis in law worked here when she was a student...so she brought us here, and we went to a woman she met there...it was nice. Its a nice beach, but lots of people as you can see...

BALE
BEAUTIFUL little village... I would like to live there...

BRIJUNI
Ohhh...this one is special... For you who dont know what it is- It is an island(s) where was Tito's residences... He spent 6/12 months on that island. Know in one of his residence is museum...there you can see pictures of Tito in his daily and business life...with his wife, children, colleagues... You can also see lots of real stuffed animals(he hunted as hobby) which he received as a gift from many famous people like presidents... We had a tour guide and tourist train. They made like safari park from all island. There is also Titos house "Bela vila" but it is unavailable for tourist to see. Seaside there is gorgeous, the water is SOOO clear...we took a swim little bit(I dont really know if it is allowed so shhh...)

This left the biggest impression on me. It's called "Mouth of truth". When this island was hit by plague, if you know that someone is infected, you could write the name of that person on the small paper and enlist here in this mouth, and than that person was killed. There's a story that says that this was misused so if someone didnt like someone else, they would enlist the name of that person even if he was healthy...

POREC AND AROUND
We have a friend in Porec, so we went there to visit him, and he took us to St. Nicola island and then in the evening in Groznjan(small village on some mountain) to jazz fest...but the view from there-WOW!
